Batesville is an area with a lot of recreation possibilities. It has two of the largest recreational outlets in the state. Within a short drive, you can find something to do for everyone. Local Parks include J.P. Hudson Memorial Park and Patton Lane Park. American Legion Park is also available and is located just off the downtown square. You can go for a round of golf at the Panola County Country Club or the Mallard Pointe Country Club. Two area lakes are located outside the city. Try water boating or fishing on a relaxing Saturday. One is Sardis Lake to the northeast and the other is Enid Lake to the south. George Payne Cossar State Park can be found at Enid Lake as well. You can rent cabins, use the swimming pool, go mini-golfing and more.
